Mia Direct Limited is recruiting experienced two-person PIA Blockage / Box Build Gangs across the Midlands and surrounding areas. With continued growth and new contract awards, we’re looking for reliable teams to support our ongoing fibre network infrastructure projects.

You’ll bring proven Openreach PIA experience and a commitment to safe, productive work. We’ll provide the vehicle, tools, plant, equipment and operational support.

Pay and opportunities

PAYE: £30,000–£40,000 per person per year. Day rates: £140–£180 per person per day, dependent on experience. PAYE or CIS opportunities are available, with consistent work on established telecoms contracts and long-term opportunities within a growing company.

What you’ll do

Excavate and clear blocked ducts on the Openreach PIA network.
Carry out duct repairs, replacements and installation.
Complete test, rod and rope (TRR) activities.
Undertake footway, carriageway and verge excavations.
Reinstate works to the required highway specifications.
Work in accordance with Openreach PIA requirements.
Complete accurate site records, photographs and evidence submissions.
Maintain high standards of health, safety and workmanship.

What you’ll need

Proven experience in Openreach PIA blockage clearance.
Relevant NRSWA Streetworks qualifications.
An excavator qualification: CPCS, NPORS or equivalent.
CAT & Genny certification.
A full UK driving licence.
The ability to work independently and consistently achieve productivity targets.
A strong understanding of safe excavation and reinstatement practices.
CSCS / SHEA qualifications are desirable.
