The Smart Awards SA001A accreditation has been developed to ensure that supervisors and planners who require an awareness of ladders and poles safety are accredited to Industry and National Occupational Standard (NOS).

This SA001A accreditation covers three modules: Pole Checking, Pole Checking, and Joint User Poles. It provides learners with these skills, as well as knowledge of the hazards and potential risks involved in working safely on ladders and wooden poles in a telecommunications environment.

The course also helps learners’ awareness of compliance with health and safety legislation. It tests learners’ knowledge, skills and understanding of dangers associated with these works and the safety precautions required while working on ladders and wooden poles.
