NRSWA Supervisor training courses are designed to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to perform their duties to the standards prescribed by SmartAwards. The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 requires that a qualified supervisor is appointed to oversee the works of operatives on site. They do not need to be on site at all times but must be able to adequately carry out the role.
The Street Works (Qualifications of Operatives and Supervisors) Regulations 2016 introduced a new structure for NRSWA units, O-series and S-series certificates. This course provides delegates with S-series certificates for units LA, S1 to S4 and S7. Monitoring reinstatement in bituminous materials (S5) and of concrete slabs (S6) are not included and can be taken separately or as part of another qualification.
